Like all traditional nesting dolls, this set features a young girl or woman wearing a colorful scarf and apron. Interestingly, the scarf here is not overly detailed, doubtless intended to contrast with the detailing found in the apron and vest.
And it is here that this doll really shines. Unlike most nested dolls, the artists have chosen to give this young woman a more formal look--even going so far as to add a string of pearls, which is extremely rare in this genre. This, clearly, is not a peasant girl, but a well-to-do girl from the city.
